PHI UNO is the solo project of Luis Villalobos, a musician originally from Tonalá, Jalisco, Mexico, whose work explores sound as a space for contemplation, depth, and expanded perception. Blending acoustic instrumentation, vocals, and electronic processing, PHI UNO creates immersive and hypnotic soundscapes that move between stillness and motion, shadow and light, the grounded and the ethereal.

Since 2018, the project has evolved through different sonic and conceptual stages. His first release, Primigenio, presented seven introspective, dark, and profound pieces, exploring in some moments non-language as a form of neutrality: saying nothing to express something beyond reasoning.

In April 2025, PHI UNO released Aixcaquema, a work that contrasts with the density of Primigenio. While preserving mystical and introspective elements, the album also opens spaces of light, celebration, and movement.

Between July and August 2025, he released Cihualpilli through YouTube, a live session featuring two original compositions and one reinterpretation.

Beyond traditional performance settings, Luis has shared his music for several years within ceremonial and self-knowledge oriented spaces, approaching sound as an intentional element that can accompany introspection, presence, and emotional exploration. His work bridges ritual sensibility with contemporary sonic experimentation, creating atmospheric experiences where music becomes a subtle companion for inner journeys.

Rooted in contemplation, introspection, movement, and depth, PHI UNO continues to evolve through the exploration of timeless textures and immersive sonic narratives that seek connection, awareness, and transformation.
